That's Anchorage, and the tall gold building is the ConocoPhillips tower where Alvin worked this summer. On the 17th floor, no less, in an office with huge south-facing windows. The smiley-sticker is compliments of Walmart, where we had just purchased a bottle of diet Coke and a pack of Mentos for a 'scientific experiment.'
